The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers invites past Scholastic Art & Writing Award winners, ages 20 and up, to donate small works on paper (including drawings, paintings, photographs, prints, etc.) for our annual fundraiser and auction in March 2012. Participating artists will receive complimentary admission to the event and will have the opportunity to participate in alumni programs in the future.
This open call exhibition and sale will benefit the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers programs, and will provide an opportunity for emerging and established artists to display their work and to connect with potential collectors.
“Writing is a solitary occupation, and one of its hazards is loneliness. But an advantage of loneliness is privacy, autonomy and freedom.”
—Joyce Carol Oates (via writingquotes)
